Of course, he was a fine actor in countless other roles as well, and his voice was perfect for narration of documentaries and even animated movies.

I mourn his passing. May he rest in peace.

Sad news indeed. Brings up a new point for me. I never knew he was Scottish. Same with Gorden Ramsey, I was surprised to find that he was also Scottish. I guess I figured they were both English.

But Connery and Ramsey didn't speak with that heavy Scottish brogue. Like "I'll lay me doon and dee".
 
Believe it or not, I have never watched a single James Bond movie! Just not my thing. But that does not diminish my respect for this fine actor, or my sadness in his passing. One of those larger-than-life actors who will never be replaced by Hollywood's current crop of "pampered poodles." Rest in Peace, Sir Sean.
