I've heard that they stopped adding the "R" mark on the frame,, as they document the safety upgrade in their records. I can't verify that.

I have found no markings after the work was done. And they were nice enough to send some spare screws as well. Probably worried about me buggering the originals up.

Sounds to me like someone at the factory "knew" darned well that the original lockwork was going back in- for collector purposes.
