Hey All,
won an auction for a Ruger Blackhawk Bisley in 357 mag, with a 7.5" barrel.
nice, unfluted cylinder with scroll work, Rosewood grips.....

I won't take delivery for another week or so, and was wondering if anyone wanted to share range reports or pics of their Bisleys?

I know most people who have a Bisley have them in 44 Magnum, so....share those too!

Help keep me eagerly anticipating my newest range gun!
Thanks!

44 mag, 45 colt, 357 mag, 32 mag, 22 lr They shoot great :D

Only a sweet bastard I built with a plow handle (I like the grip) and Bisley hammer and trigger (thanks to those that helped) out of a sort of early NMBH.

I used one for a "deer rifle" for several years in upstate NYS, shooting from a tree stand. Worked great! Only minus is that it is VERY heavy (you already know that) and needs a shoulder holster, IMO, if you want to keep your pants on.

Finally replaced it with a 6" GP-100; stainless, easier carry and DA. But sometimes I wish I still had that old Biz!!!!

I want a 5 1/2" bisley 44 spl................ might as well look for a needle in a hay stack LOL :D Nice sixguns ;)

I got a vintage Hunter drop holster belt with loops and a vintage Hunter 1100-48 so my pants stay on. With my small waist size and four kids it is obvious I need help in that area.

Man...I just bought a Brunton Red Dot Scope, in hopes that I could mount a rail on my Bisley and use it.....and here you post that!
Could you tell more about your set up, and what it took to mount a rail?
thanks!

It's not a rail, but a Wiegand base. It was in place when I bought the gun, so I can't give installation details, but I do know it requires removal of the rear sight and drilling/tapping a new hole in the topstrap. Rock solid.

If you can find one an old Weaver #301 scope base it will clamp on a Bisley. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/359216/weaver-mount-scope-base-ruger-blackhawk-super-blackhawk-301-gloss

Yep, Bisley 357 magnum, ultimate launch plantform except for the Redhawk.

I bought a Brunton Red Dot scope at an NRA dinner, and now am realizing that it only fits on a Picatinny rail.....

Don't know if I want to drill and tap a 357 Bisley for an optic device........?
But, if I do.......

Any suggestions as to WHO makes a Picatinny Rail for Blackhawk Bisley?
(I think Weigand Combat has them, but I am unsure of exactly what I am looking at....need to call them?)

I made a real on a NIB bisley flattop 44 special last night and cannot wait to get it. Have always wanted one in that caliber and...... now ill have one :)

This is my favorite piece:

She is my woods gun. I reload for this .45 Colt and she is a tack driver and a pleasure to shoot.

I have a blued one with 4 5/8" barrel in 44 Special that's still LNIB. I'm putting it and about 8 other Ruger SA's on an auction site in about a week.

I Love that model, being set up for 45 Colt wish it came in that cal. Might have to expand to 44 mag/special just for it!
