I was fortunate to bring this beautiful big iron home yesterday. I am planning for a range day on Thursday to give it a little exercise. I love John Gallagher's work and this is no exception. I thought I would share a couple photos.
I only have two guns in my safe that haven't been shot...and I am always tempted (a 3.5" Registered Magnum I had engraved). The other is a Gallagher lightweight in 458-400. I haven't fired the lightweight because I have yet to find any ammo or dies for making it.You won a big prize there,,, congrats.
A thumbs up you mentioning intentions to shoot it. Some might make it a lonely safe queen.
This makes number 3 for me. My 2nd one is 45 Bisley Vaquero. Zane is currently fitting some grips for that one.John did wonderful work in his shop. I have owned a number of his guns and still have a couple in the safe.
Thank you! Here you goThat is a beautiful revolver!
Now please show me the 458-400.![]()
Yes sir, it surely is.That’s a peach there.
Just waiting on the right one!!Two beautiful revolvers ! I love real color case hardening, and I don’t own a single one. What is wrong with me ?![]()
