BKH barrel lengths

I’ve been passively trying to acquire a nice example of each barrel length old model Blackhawk. Am I correct in the following as far as the number of different lengths offered:

.357 & .44 - 3 each
.45 & .41 - 2 each
.30 - 1 only

I know there were a couple of very limited production lengths for ruger employees or celebrities also made but I’m speaking of reasonable obtainable.

There were (3) in the .357,,, (4) in the Super Blackhawk. Otherwise,, you have the numbers correctly. I'll bet you are missing the 6-1/2" Supers.

You’re correct, I do need to work on the supers. I was blessed by a long time member here to be a custodian of a factory brassy super but haven’t had the opportunity to provide a home for a 6.5” super yet.

There's an excellent reason the .30 carbine only came in a 7-1/2".
You will only make the mistake of shooting it without hearing protection 1 time, unless your being shot at , and the 30 is all you have to defend yourself with.
And then you will pick your shots very carefully after the first one.

Now that we've narrowed the barrel length thing,, almost. (There is ONE 15" .44 out there,, and it's verified. But since it's not available,, or mass produced,, we'll give it a pass.)
You can expand things a bit by saying; OM Flattops,, and protected sight Blackhawks. That adds a few more to the search.

And if you REALLY want to get down to the nitty-gritty,, in the NM Supers,, there's the 10" tapered barrel,, and the 10" bull barrel. That would make (5) NM Supers.

Not to sidetrack the OP's question. But the .30 Carbine is just sooo fun to shoot (and I'm a DA Ruger guy and I own one).
