I recently picked up a blackhawk in . 357 mag. I like the plowgrip. But I want to put a bisley hammer on it. I've seen the mod to the hammer to get it to work. My question is is there a difference in the standard and the bisley trigger? If so what's the pro/con of the bisley trigger. And will it fit in a standard grip?

All of the Ruger SA hammers and triggers work together without issue, so you can combine bisley hammers with standard triggers and standard hammers with bisley triggers, without issue.
As you've seen, you have to reduce the radius of the "butt" of the Bisley hammer to get it to fit into the plow handle grip frame.
The Bisley trigger, or your grip frame, must also be altered to fit a bisley trigger into a plow handle grip frame. The "nose" of the bisley trigger is longer than that of the standard trigger. The "typical mod" is to grind about an extra 1/8" relief into the front of the hole in the grip frame. Another option, my favored option, is to grind about 1/8" off of the nose of the trigger.
I like the bisley trigger over the standard due to the deeper curled radius on the trigger. The mid-trigger position is exactly the same as the standard (i.e. pull is the same), but the tip and nose of the trigger are longer, giving it more curl. FOR MY FINGER, I feel like it helps my finger stay centered on the trigger to pull BACK instead of sliding UP. I often feel like my finger is slipping upward and pressing against the bottom of the cylinder frame (ok, so top of the grip frame, but you get the idea). Other fellas like the straighter standard trigger.

Pretty simple/straight forward job. I just fit a pair of bisley hammers and triggers to a pair of birdshead grip frames this week. I'll be fitting another Bisley hammer and trigger to a birdshead Single Six soon, and a bisley trigger and SBH hammer to a New Vaquero.
All of my Vaqueros (except the two BH's above) have SBH hammers and Bisley triggers, as do my SBH's. I really like the Bisley trigger THAT MUCH MORE!

Might have to take a little off the tip of the bisley trigger as well to keep it from hanging up in the bottom of the trigger guard. I found bisley triggers pinch the crap out of my trigger finger during recoil, so all mine get swapped out for standard triggers. I'm a big fan of bisley hammers on plow handle frames as well.

If you decide on a Bisley trigger as well, note than you can control where the 'at rest' position of the trigger is. Just take less off the front of the Bisley or don't extend the trigger slot in the grip frame as much. I prefer the Bisley triggers but some with fat fingers like me find the trigger hole with plow handle grip frame is too tight.
