I have to admit to being old, and non-technical, (I don't even have a smart-phone) so pls correct me if I'm wrong in my primary premise. Just for fun (really), I called one of the major home burglar-alarm companies to ask: Given that the systems you sell are NOT hard-wired, but rather operate "wireless", can you tell me if a burglar could simply jam the system with a common jamming device and thus, get in undetected...??
The young lady told me (wait for it): "Sir, those jamming devices are illegal".
I just had to thank her and hang up; what can you say to that level of intelligence.
BTW.... I'm still assuming that the common home system that everyone seems to be jumping on can easily be jammed.... am I wrong there?

Reminds me of the extra hard drive I bought years ago and installed and it would not show on the computer and I look in the instructions under trouble shooting and the number one problem was the drive not showing up... solution ...the company, had for my convenience, installed a driver (software) on the new hard drive that would fix this problem...

They just "don't get it". Making something "illegal" doesn't prevent criminals from using that something.

Looks like our politicians are at about this "intelligence level"... it appears that they believe this too.

Yes. One of my common replies to folks spouting off about gun control is that they should just make murder illegal.

The joke is typically lost on the recipient.

That is the stupidity of today

Like gun free zones
So where do the shooters go? Gun free zones - school, theaters, public buildings
No one would dare & break the "law" and shoot in these zones

Security system? jammers are illegal? you are ok with our system
No one would dare use a jammer
Safe & sound sir, no problem, would you like to order?

Is a good question as to whether they can be jammed... which I assume they can, but how hard is it?

Also, from what I understand most burglaries at least in my area last something like 2-3 minutes.... perps check out the place... determine no one is home... break in fast and grab a few things and are gone before anyone shows up..... doesn't matter about the alarm system.
