Best book for standard, mki, mkii etc...

Hello all,

As my collection of standards, Mki's and mkii's increases, I find myself wanting to know more and more details. I know there are books on the early Rugers, but what is the best, most comprehensive book available? I'm sure many of you have books on the subject, so, opinions please!

welcome to the Forum, as for the books, there are many out there, BUT for what you ask for, I feel that the best ,all around, thorough, complete and so many variations within, is the "Encyclopedia Of Ruger Semi -AutomaticRimfire Pistols 1949-1992" by Chad Hiddleson, known here on the Forum as 'Chet15' from Krause Publications 1993.........covers it all 8) :roll: :wink:

I'd add Don Findley's book as well. I don't have the title in front of me,,, but between Chad's book, and Don's book on the 22 semi's,,, both are THE books to use.
