You've got some sharp-looking guns, D.C. Serial #8 too! I saw your post about your custom M77 a while back, and that one had some great wood on it too.

The swastika had me doing a double-take until I remembered that Native Americans have used that symbol for many centuries.

cas,
I'd like to see more of that Sharps in the first photo.

Jeff

I've had it a number of years now and still only have the three I took the day I got it.

CAS - that is a very nice Shilo. Grat wood, love the pewter nose cap. I've shot a few 50-90 and they tend to thump just a little bit. :)

I have a Pedersoli Sharps 45-70. I really need to get some of my older guns out and take some photos.

Bought my Weatherby (a German MarkV) because of the figured wood and great bluing. Been buying Ruger #1s those from the 70s & 80s seem to have nicer wood than the newer ones so those are what I look for.

I let go of three other guns to pay for this Winchester 94/22 (Circa 1975). I've wanted one for a long time and this one is nearly perfect with a really nicely grained buttstock. Can't wait to get better photos outdoors.

Just reading through this thread again and thought it might be a good time for it to be revived. Anyone else have some nice looking wood on their guns that they'd like to share?

My Dad got this stock carved while he was stationed in Germany in the mid 50's. Curtis LeMay had one done by the same guy so Pop is real proud of that. Pretty fancy for a country kid from AZ! My prized possession.
