For a birthday present my daughter and son in law gave me a beast blade automatic knife, which are made here in Colorado. It has a damascus steel blade that is very hard. I ground it on my Work sharp grinder and it wasn't removing much steel but finally put a fair edge on it, but being OCD I wasn't satisfied, so I hand stoned it ( that took a lot of rubbing) and finally was able to shave hair. My SIL sells these in his NAPA auto parts store and they fly off the shelf. Just a heads up about them if anyone is interested in an auto knife. BTW, these knives come in either mono-steel or damascus and also different styles and colors.
