Bearcat with a three inch barrel...

Just a thought! Can a new bearcat Barrel be shortened to 3 inches?

I guess I was just thinking about the same thing as a shopkeeper but with a regular grip. I'm not sure a regular bearcat would look balanced with a shorter barrel and a regular grip.

Check out the Vaquero with the 3.75" barrel on Ruger's website. The 3" Bearcat would probably look pretty close proportionally.

Look at what Ruger did to the cylinder base pin and ejector rod button on the Shopkeeper to make them work with the shorter barrel.

It can be a real PITA to unload the cylinder. I have though of installing a regular model's base pin then just remove the cylinder and used the base pin reversed to unload the cylinder.

Already have a 22/45 so I guess I'll put in the longer base pin. Can't wait till the ROCS Cat becomes available.

Are these only available to ROCS members, or is this another special Lipsey's edition?

ROCS members is my understanding. If you want go ahead and join its a great bunch with a real nice journal twice a year.
