..... local store had a used KP90D today. I couldn't resist.

Does anyone know when they ceased production of the de-cockers? The s/n puts it at early '05 production if I'm reading things right.

And ..... are factory mags the best bet? Where's the best outlet for P90 mags?

Thanks ~

I would say late 06 early 07 was the end of the decockers. Me thinks they had many already built that were test fired and shipped after the decision to discontinue them[bad move IMO].

Factory mags are the way to go IMO. Keep your eyes open in the classified section here or on Gunbroker. You should be able to find them new or like new for around $20 each. It is worth noting that the P90 was originally designed for the plastic follower 7rd mag. Using the metal follower 8 rounder will undoubtedly cause a little dimple or wear mark on the forward inside edge of the mag well. It seems to be self limiting but is unsightly and annoying if you are OCD like myself.

Enjoy your P90 they are great guns with superb accuracy and a cult like following for the same reason.

Nice find. I have only used factory mags. New ones have gotten a little pricey, but sometimes places like CDNN has reduced shipping fees on the weekend, which might help offset some of the cost.

The only thing I changed on my P90 were the grips. I don't like the Hogue's on everything, but I think they greatly improve the feel of this gun, IMO.

Look forward to your impressions after you take it to the range. :)

State law let me pick up the P90 today so I brought it home for cleaning and fondling. The orange stickers are still on both the mags.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get it to the range with a couple hundred rounds.

Put 100 rounds down the tube this afternoon.

Wow; these are good guns to have. Not one hiccup. Very accurate. Fired all rounds standing at 10 yards.

This will be a great companion to my P95DC. It handles every bit as good as the 9MM.
