anyone loading for a 300 h&h #1

The only thing I have shot in mine are some old Winchester Silvertip 180gr factory loads. Those shoot MOA three shot groups.

I have both a Ruger #1 in 300 H&H and a pre-64 Winchester mod 70in this caliber. Both like the 180 0r 200 gr. Partitions or Accubonds from Nosler. I buy them from Noslers 2nd's store and reload both using RL22 mostly. Either one will do the job on elk or deer.

Hey, Lloyd-
I'm kinda new to the 300H&H. Got my first one last summer; Cabelas Ft Worth had a few of their anniversary #1s out on display but I didn't care for the blueing, looked more like paint--then one day a "normal" one at half the price of the anniversary style was on the rack. Anyway, this one does well with 180 grain Interlocks and IMR 4350. I'm just waiting to see how well the I-locks perform on hogs...

loyd, have worked up loads with 150 &165 gr bullets. cor-locs and partitions. gun is sub 1" with both weights if I do my job. the 300 H&H has the reputation of shooting a wide range of bullet weights well.
