I recently bought this "Kobra" red dot sight, pre-owned but looking like new. Arrived in one piece overseas and seemed to work just fine. Gave it to the gunsmith along with my rifle (vz.58) and a special side rail to be mounted on it (vz.58 can't use the original AK rail very well and unexperienced users like me rather ask a gunsmith to do this for them, as there's much less space left for the screws inside the 58 than inside of AK). Anyway, the gunsmith (trustwothy enough for me) mounted the rail and put the sight on it, then reported that it's adjustment doesn't work. When I picked my stuff back, I found out the laser emitter inside of the sight seems to be totally off the adjusting system, sits low in the case and won't move, actualy won't even be visible except of specific angle. Still shines though, even reacts to the reticle type switch and everything, just won't move.
Anyone ever experienced this? I mean - it's russian army former red dot, not just some cheap $20 airsoft stuff!
Given the circumstances of my purchase, I doubt I'll be able to get my money back (plus it was fine when I got it, I don't think the gunsmith broke it and even if he did (as if he dropped it), it wouldn't last couple shots anyway if it was in such bad condition (which it didn't seem to be!)

I may have to open it up and see what I can do by myself - I mean - what can I lose yet? Any advice, experience or guide will be highly welcome!

Take it completely apart and post pictures of all the pieces. When nobody is able to help fix it put it in a bag and place on a shelf.   Sorry!!!! I could not help myself or you either. A picture of what you have may give someone an idea of how to fix it though. :D
