Anybody else getting new pop-up ads here?

I tried that a little while ago. I went to another forum, and came back here after a bit. I'm still getting pop-ups. And while on that Forum,, there's a post about this new ad stuff.
Apparently,, some people are choosing to NOT come back here because of it.

So to confirm, you DO have that box Disable Advertising checked ….. correct?

Yes,, I went to "Preferences" and scrolled down & found the "Disable ads" box. It wasn't checked. I checked it,, and even went through all of the other stuff to see if I needed to change anything else.

Yes. I did click "Save" after I was done.
And I left this forum, went to another forum,, came back later,, & double checked things. Including my preferences. It showed the box as checked.

I have no pop up or ad blockers on my desktop and haven't had a single issue. I also do NOT have "disable advertisements" checked off. No issues

I believe if you are a Supporting Member that you do not see the ads. I have checked and unchecked all the relevant boxes and still see the ads. Become a Supporting Member like PRichardson87 and the ads disappear. The bills have to be paid somehow.

Click on your own User Name ( on the upper right of the screen depending on what type of device you’re using ) ~ a “Your Account” box will open and Preferences is on the lower left.

Found it and mine was already checked to disable ads.... Maybe bec. I'm not a supporting member I will see the ads... (?)

I'm no techie, but I did find a way to add a pop-up blocker to my laptop... It appears to be working... I guess that's the answer along with the "Preferences" check-off. ALL DONE ;)

Then turn them off in your preferences. It's free.

You use a VPN saying you're from Thailand, so the ads you see will be drastically worse in my opinion.

That is from your cookies, if you clear your cookies you will get offers to see Monica Lewinsky in a bikini. I’d rather see my stuff from Midway or Ebay.
