I would like to buy a 45 to go with my P90. Anyone hear if Ruger is planning to make a 45 based on the SR series?

One can only imagine that they will, but when is the big factor. Could be at SHOT Show, could be late this year. No one but a select few know if and when, and they ain't talking.

LOVE my SR9! It would be great if Ruger ventured into 1911 space but I just don't know if I would buy an SR45. If such a beast handled as nicely as the SR9 I guess I would seriously consider it.

What are people's guesses as to how an SR45 would be constructed geometry-wise?

Well, the biggest difference between the SR9 and the SR40 is the slide width. Otherwise it is virtually the same gun on the inside. I thunk they'd widen the slide a bit more or add more mass to it. They could also make some internal changes to the recoil spring design to deal with the forces at hand.
