American side mounted sling?

Hi guys, first post here. I have been searching like crazy for a doodad or another guys who has done a side mounted sling on an american. I have a 308 predator with the short barrel and I want to side sling it. The butt end is easy, but I cant seem to come up with any way to put a QD mount (or anything else for that matter) on the front because of how the forestock is shaped.

Has anyone done this before?
