Has anyone ever seen a test (or done it themselves) comparing the accuracy of each individual chamber of a cylinder against one another? Something real carefully done, like with a Ransom Rest or something to remove as much human variable as possible. I would do it myself but my shooting skills aren't good enough to provide meaningful results. Seems to me there could be more variance from one chamber to the next than from gun to gun of the same model.

It has been done from time to time by various gun rag writers. Plus,, a few folks who have the mechanical rests to allow such a test.
It has also been done by hand by some serious shooters who want to know exactly how & where each chamber shoots.
