Just bought a new GP100
How much cylinder gap is acceptable ?

I ask because I just shot it for the first time.
Loaded 125gr. JSP on top of 15.0 of 2400 and got some unburnt powder specks in the face
and on my hands. Also shot some HP-38 and Power Pistol but nothing with those though.
Also accuracy at 25yds. was not very good except with the Power Pistol.

I prefer them tight (2 1/2 to 3 Thou.) but would not complain if one is 6 thou. buy not much more than that.
You did not say how much yours is. Unburned particles of 2400 also suggest too light a load with too light a bullet and insufficient crimp or neck tension. 2400 needs resistance to burn efficiently.

.006 gap
Probably needed a better crimp on the 2400, I only lightly roll crimped them.
At 10yds. the 2400 grouped well but at 25yds. it opened way up.

I also have some Unique
