Recently, in my Sunday School class, my Sunday School teacher made this remark: " We often times say we will pray for someone but often times forget to do so. I've become aware of this and now when I say I will pray for someone, I'll stop and do that on the spot. Just a brief prayer as circumstances permit. Then later offer a more detailed prayer."
I've adopted that practice, too. As I read prayer requests on this forum, I sit at the key board and offer a brief prayer, naming the person and the situation. Then, later make a more specific prayer during my devotion time. Works for me.
