They should have showed pics of their badass dogs who did the dangerous part of this catch.

I agree...

What the heck breed is a "Catch Dog"?

This was an education for me as I never heard of this type of hog hunting. Thanks for sharing.

I am not saying the boys didn't catch a true wild hog but after catching and seeing hundreds caught with dogs I have never heard a big truly wild boar squeal when caught with dogs. I caught one that was 400 plus pounds and he just walked around with 3 dogs hanging on him coming after me and my partner Brian. I am 6'1" and weigh 285 with 19&1/2 inch arms in my prime and I couldn't have held one that big down by myself. I caught many right by myself, tied them up and brought them out by myself but this tale seems a little out there to me for a truly wild hog. A domesticated hog turned loose or running loose....well maybe.

5 of 7,
Thanks for the link.........

This SO reminds me of HOGZILLA........
If ya google him,a ton of hits...... but,if memory serves, a cross breed between wild ,and escaped raised hog,that.....
Was claimed to be 1200 lb.s but after they dug him up......STILL AN IMPRESSIVE 800 lb.s.

The mind blowing, and humbling thing to me.......
HOW BAD ASS do ya got to be to capture this animal ALIVE??? !!!

The closest to that I ever came was two strikes between the middle of the eyes, to a pit-bull with a sjambok ,
( the running loose pit-bull had my chained up dog by the throat, thought my dog was dead),
Pit-bull backed up 3 feet, turned on me....then my"NOT SO DEAD DOG" jumped up on her feet and charged him, while I swung again.......SAID PIT-BULL ran away......And that was the day I went from keeping one gun out of the gunsafes to "MORE THAN ONE"!!!

This is a sjambok, and it did open the dog's flesh....ALOT!

I was dealing with a 60 lb. animal that wish I shot dead....

These guys purposely kept a 790 lb. BACON WAGON ALIVE.
WAY BIGGER BALLS THAN MINE!

Good Lord!! Who, in their right mind, catches live wild hogs?! With just a couple dogs and a piece of rope! I think I know their cousins. Up here they wade the creeks and stick their arms in the mouths of 60+ pound catfish and try not to get drowned.

I got me one hell of an idea, let's ask for donations to ship that hog to the middle east.
Why don't we just air drop a few hundred wild piglets there. They can survive anywhere. We would be helping the planet by introducing animals into a barren land and providing food for the locals..........

Oh crap............ them folk don't eat pig meat do they?
I reckon they would not like that would they?
Ifin they caint get to alah if they are tainted by pigs...... grease our rifle bores with bacon. Werent they a feller that was a general what killed some of them with bullets dipped in pigs blood and let a few of them watch and told them to tell the other fellers what happened?

................just pondering , how much would it cost me have someone air drop leftover bbq on the whole place.

Sorry got off track. Yes there are many folk and dogs that will and can take down such beast. I give 99% credit to the dogs, or as I think of them, the Marines. I have been on a few hog/dog hunts. Most are ended with a blade so the dogs won't get hurt. Once a hog is yoked down there is no reason for a gun. Besides, you might hurt a dog by accident, now that will get you shot!

I reckon if them fellers and their dogs were ......to find Michael Moore, would the try so hard to keep him alive.............
I need a nap
