My 77/50 had a light trigger. Called Ruger, but they will not help or talk to a person about these models. Broke manuals out and my 77/22 has same parts. So, I ordered a sear from Brownells , Timney and Volquartsen. The problem was bolt would drop when I closed it. I already had an extra trigger for these. put the Timney sear and spring in, problem solved! feels like a new rifle now. I can see on old parts where both are rounded and worn. Funny thing is with this muzzle loader, bore is pitted, rusted and it shoots great. I bought it new from a dealer. I even tried to take it back to them. They said I may have used it in a robbery or something. I then bought a Remington 700 ML That had a bore smooth and clean. Ruger out shot it! 700 ML would not group. It was easy to sell. My Ruger is still pitted and still shooting thru deer with a 300 XTP
