I stumbled into 375 rounds of 6.8 SPC ammo. It's boxed in 100 round green plastic ammo containers. The head stamps are mostly R-P & Hornaday. There are a few with SSA head stamps. These rounds were obtained from a gentleman who inherited from another fellow. When asked if his friend reloaded, he said "No". I would like to disassemble a round to weigh the bullet & powder to determine if the rounds are safe. My reloading books do not list this round. Any help with my request will be appreciated. Since I do not have a rifle chambered in this round & when comfortable that these are safe to shoot, I will be offering them for sale. Thanks in advance!

Finally on my third attempt to locate load data for this cartridge, I was successful. My prior attempts only lead me to websites that required a logon ID & password. Thanks for looking!

Hodgdon.com has a goodly number of loads in their online reloading data.

You'll need to identify what powder is used. How do you plan to do that?

Iron Mike Golf,

It will be difficult to identify the powder used. Therefore, I will not be able to do so. I mainly wanted to know grain weights to check load data charts to see if the weight is in the ballpark. Good question though.
