50 rounds 50 yards

Since it was raining yesterday, I took my 10/22 to an indoor range. They have a 50 yard range which is actually pretty clean with good ventilation.

Anyway, my 10/22 is mostly Kidd parts, except for the Ruger receiver and stock. A few years ago I ordered a barrel and trigger with the bolt. It works incredibly well with Federal bulk ammo. (None at Wal Mart today, but that is another story.)

Here is the Gun, 16 /4" barrel, and an extreamly light trigger. It is the two stage trigger, If I remember correctly I ordered the lightest trigger pull possible. with a very inexpensive Bushnell 3-9x scope:

I'm very happy with how the gun turned out. I bought it when my daughter was born. It was supposed to be her's when she gets a little older, but I might look for another and keep this one.

And here is the results. Quick and easy thanks to the BX-25 magazine.
The gun was on a rest and I was seated.

Being inside was a little like cheating. It was 50 yards, but there isn't any wind and the target is well lit.

Nice shooting. Can you tell me more about the stock. I have seen that style a few places but can't figure out what it is or who makes it.

I would like to try from an indoor bench seated with good light at 50 yards and a good scope too but I have a self modified stock stock 10/22 with a free 20mm scope. Which local range?

Target Masters is a pretty nice store. They sell some used guns and have decent prices. The rifle range has 6 lanes with good ventilation.

I'm sorry about more information on the stock. I bought it probably 5 years ago, some company in California, I don't remember the company, I believe it was imported from the Czech Republic. At the time it was around $200.

The ammo I used was bulk Federal. But indoors, it really is like cheating. Yesterday I was at an outdoor range shooting at 100 yards and the group opened up considerably.

Kinda scary part of town, used to do stupid car stuff late at night in that area back in the day. During daylight I ASSume it's pretty safe?

Stock is from FA Enterprises (found mentioned in an old post from the OP back in 2009). I Googled "FA Enterprises 10/22 stock" and came up with a number of results. Looks like they have been discontinued but can still be found from time to time. Midway even carried one for $199 for a while. Looks kind of cool, but I'm a function over form guy myself.

Glad it helped. I actually ran across Kevin's earlier post while using Google image search and recognized the stock. Certainly lots of options out there.
