I shot some of the new Buffalo Bore .44 Spcl. soft (BHN 6) 190 gr. lead HP's and they are fantastic!! Now, where can I get the bullets only to reload!!?

I cast, but not HP's as they are a pain in the kiester & I don't shoot enough of 'em to justify a new mould. Who sells lead .44 HP's like these?

With lead that soft, you might get swaged bullets. I used to get swaged .358 bullets from a guy who went by "BulletMan" on the internet auction sites. Haven't bought from him for 3 years. His swaged HP would expand well from a 4" 38.

Rim Rock bullets makes those bullets, according to their adds. There are among the gas-checked versions, a HP.. Was just looking at them a few days bad and clicked'em into favorites. steve b

According to Brian Pearce the Hornady 240 LSWC-HP expands at velocitys as low as 750fps. I use them but have never done an expansion test. Keep velocitys at 850fps or less, they lead the bore badly much faster than that.

I very much miss, the Speer 225gr HP, that was a wonderful .44spec bullet ! The "3/4 jacket" bullet. Sigh... steve b
