What sporting/hunting rifle uses a .311/.312 diameter bullet OTHER THAN the 303 British?
7.62x39 (sks,ak)7.7 Arisaka, Japanese.
Obviously because didn't get many reply to the first. Many other folks might not have seen it.Why do you keep opening new threads for the same question?
.311 bullets
Are there any other rifle calibers that use a .311 or .312 diameter bullet besides the 303 British?www.rugerforum.com
I'm ok with your inquiry, but it would be more interesting if you gave more context. Why do you ask? What are going to do with them? Rifle, pistol? Cast, jacketed?Obviously because didn't get many reply to the first. Many other folks might not have seen it.
Those do almost as much damage to the shooter as the shootee! The mighty Mosin Nagant.
It would be better to bump the original for a couple reasons.Obviously because didn't get many reply to the first. Many other folks might not have seen it.
I have an old 303 Enfield that bought quite a few bullets for to reload. Speer Hot Cor and Hornady Interlock, .311 and .312 diameter. Well, I'm not able to get this old girl to group at all, bullets just have a mind of their own. Decided I can't hunt with this gun so I now have a nice Vortex scope and bullets I have no use for unless I can find a more modern rifle that will take those bullets.I'm ok with your inquiry, but it would be more interesting if you gave more context. That's ME! I've bought bullets, dies, and brass for a firearm I don't haveI have an old 303 Enfield that bought quite a few bullets for to reload. That's not how forums are supposed to work and it's bad etiquette.Obviously because didn't get many reply to the first. Many other folks might not have seen it.
Some older Marlins .30-30's might be able to use a .311". I think that's what my Ranch Dog TLC-311-165-RF is but actually drops at 0.312" from my mold with my alloy. The mold was specifically designed for an old Marlin like mine..311/.312 bullets are typically less common/more expensive than .308 for .30-30, .308W, .30-60, .300WM, etc. I'm sure you'd find someone willing to trade with not too much effort.
