Taper or roll crimp for 30 carb ruger?

I prefer taper.

Remember,, it's a rimless case,, and as such,, headspaces off the mouth of the case.

I roll crimp mine but I use a bullet with a groove for that. I only roll crimp till it still stops at the mouth of the chambers. I get plenty of crimp to hold and not so much that it doesn't headspace...either way should work

My OM 30 Carbine can't use rimmed brass unfortunately...

I would think since the cartridge is designed to "seat" on the case mouth and taper crimped, that firearms are designed to use the cartridge as designed, it would be best to taper crimp. The exception being guns designed to use moon clips...
