264 Win Mag

I just finished a 264 Win Mag and know we have some 6.5 fans here....as such, I thought I'd post pictures.

It's built on a CZ-24 Mauser 98 action which has been trued and fit with a Timney trigger (~ 1 lb). The barrel is a 4-groove ratchet cut Shilen set to 27". The scope is an old 12x Redfield from the 1960's:

Most accurate stock hunting rifle I ever witnessed was a Rem 700 in that cal.

Gee, that oughta cut some one holers! Looks like 26"? I've been thinking about a heavy barrelled Savage in 6.5/284 lately...

Thanks...the barrel is actually 27". Sounds long, but the gun balances well and with that much tube I can easily hit 3,200+ fps with 140's.
