I'm listening to Tom Gresham's Gun Talk from last Sunday (on my ipod), and he's talking about filming an episode of Guns 'n Gear for broadcast this summer. It sure sounds like he says he's shooting a 10mm Match Champion. It could be he was talking about two different guns, a 10mm and a MC, but he repeated it in the "after" show.

Anybody else hear that?

Shows how much I know!

Don't feel bad. That was all any of us knew a few days ago. I was half convinced I was just wishful thinking.

Here's my real wishful thinking: 41 Mag!

Suggested Retail Price is $969 for all 3 versions of the GP100 MC. So probably around $700-$750

This is what I have been waiting for and the MC format is the way to do it. The results are a sure enough duty style carry revolver. Jeff Quinn did it right by having a 10 Magnum chambering done on what is apparently his revolver. I don't think he is going to send it back to Ruger. Now if Ruger would just make the same gun in 41 Magnum, or better yet SAMMI ize the 41 Special. Bob!!

Update, I see this am that the 10mm MC is the same price(dealer price) as the other 2 MC revolvers. Sport South and Lipseys has them listed but none available. Bob 8)

I have been on a 10MM purchasing mission for the past few years.

Glock 29,20,40

Smith and Wesson 610. Found at a local show. 6 inch like new.

Ruger Blackhawk 4 5/8 inch. Love it!

Ruger Super Redhawk. Mounted LER scope. Great bench gun with potential for hunting.

Now this! I am going broke chasing 10MM's.

I will have a Match Champion in 10MM.

Bill

I think a three cylinder convertible in .40S&W, 10mm and 10mmMag on the mid-frame Blackhawk would be cool.

The mid frame Blackhawk convertible would be the way to go, particularly with a 40, 10mm, 10mm magnum, 38/40, and a 401 powermag cylinder to go with it. Same goes for one in 41 special. Finally, with the match champion 10mm things are starting to happen. Dare one wish for a S&W 686 in 10 mm. Bob!! :D

By golly, that is a doosey. Ruger has made some wishes come true in the last few years..........

I'm sure one has my name on it to go with my .357 MC with adjustable sights. Couldn't get behind the 10MM SR1911 and current have moved away from single action revolvers. This will be hard to resist.

I've got my name on one at Sports South and Lipsey's, which ever one comes first. I'm still waiting on 9mm carbines to become available. I need 4 of these for myself and my LE clients. I've got at least 1000 rounds of 10mm loaded with cast bullets that functioned in my Gen 3 M20, but won't function in my Gen 4 M20. They'll be just right for the GP-100. BTW, the Ruger SKU for the moon clips for the 10mm GP is 90661. None of the distributors have any in stock yet. That's one of the reasons I don't go to SHOT or the NRA Convention. I gave up looking at items you can't get. Bob!! :)

I have the 357 mag Match Champion version with adjustable rear sight. If they made this in 41 mag with 6 shot capacity and a 5-6 inch barrel I would buy

That too is my dream revolver, A GP-100 half lug in 41 Magnum or even in 41 Special 6 shot. Bob!!

Ruger sure could make a 5 shot GP100 41 mag , if they wanted to !! I have a Taurus Tracker in 41 mag and with 16.5/2400/195 CSW is a good shooting little gun. With that in mind the Ruger GP100 is an infinitely stronger frame than the Tracker so definitely doable to make one in 41 mag.

I've not been able to find any at my distributors. The stippled Hogue wooden grips can be replaced by any other GP-100 grip. Bob!

I saw that one too and wondered if they were building up an order list ?
Update -- as of last night there were several advertised on GB but most of them were high 7's , list price I guess?
I am sure the street price will come down after the initial rush of orders.
While I would like to have one 800 , final price, is a little more than I want to pay.
