I snapped this photo a few weeks ago and thought I'd post it. I acquired the gun 10 years ago from a private collection and have reason to believe it's unfired. The deal also included the box and shipper.

It came with the factory panels but I had real ivories carved for it a while back. Serial number research dates it to 1959.

Does anyone know how many of these Ruger produced? I seem to recall it was either 750 or 1,500.

lee, that is an awesome looking gun, nice picture and what a "package" ,that is neat!!
As for the number made I recall the RENE noted aprox. 1500 were made.............alas, I sold mine to my dealer/friend Bill, it ONLY had the box ( no shipper) and had factory stags on it, oh well, close.......

Very nice Lee! I got my first (& only) 10" 44 Flattop just this past spring in H'burg. Ihad to put the only set of factory stags I had on that one. Alas,,, no box & such with mine,,,!

The second one is my shooter. I fitted a New Model Super Blackhawk grip frame with a rounded trigger guard and grafted a New Model Bisley hammer spur to the OM Blackhawk hammer.
