10/22 Barrel blank

Hi Folk’, I’m needing a barrel blank to fill in the dovetail for the rear sight on a factory 10/22 carbine. I’m running a peep on the reciever. Hoping for one made for it as I’m no gunsmith. Thanks for any help-Dave

You're looking for a "3/8 dovetail blank". Web search turns up plenty of options in the 10$ range.

A barrel blank is a barrel that's been rifled but not chambered or fitted to an action. Completely different thing.

or simply use the base of a "broken" rear ,fold down sight, they are usually all over the place........I've tossed them out for over 45 years....... 8) :roll: :wink:

Thanks for all the help Folk’s. Ended up getting one from Brownells that slides in and tightens down with a little hex screw-Dave
