This is why I don't like fishing

"He says something about being the 1987 Kumate champion 🤣 "

And I'm the Pope.

I too have never run into a guy like that while fishing. And for many, many years,, on the opening day of trout season,, you'd just about have to bring your own rock to stand on & dig your own pool to have space to fish. Nobody got into any confrontations,, even when lines would get crossed.

But to have a guy threaten me like that,, if it was public waterways,, I'd politely tell him that we'll let the game wardens educate him on the laws. And if he decided to be more aggressive,, then,, well, GunnyGene has the right SD answer.

But if it went to court and his defense lawyer showed the video could you actually convince either the judge or a jury that you were actually threatened with more than falling down under uncontrolled laughing?

Well... before we completely discount what he has to say... let's look at a couple of things....
  • He never said whether it was a national championship or just his town
  • 1987 was almost 40 years ago (also appears to have been when he bought the clothes he is wearing)...
  • He is skilled enough to have fashioned nunchucks from two sticks and what looks to be the band from his tighty-whiteys....
  • TBH, I would be more afraid of those clothes losing structural integrity. If the button pops on those shorts, it could kill someone!

Years ago I was down fishing on the Russian river. It gets a little crowded at times so if you catch a fish people give you room. I caught a fish and was fighting it, and their was a woman next to me but didn’t move or reel in and our lined crossed so I took my knife out and cut her line, stuck it back in the sheath and kept on fishing. She looked at her husband and said are you going to do anything? He just looked at her and said, you should have reeled in. Did I mention down there a bear could come out in the river if they took a notion and everyone has a gun. 😎

I remember the Russian River, mostly from the times when I was one wild child.
As I recall, that was a bit of treacherous water. We called them holes but in some places were a lot worse than others. on time we were having a bit of a picnic with my girl friend at the tike and my best friend and his lady. I was on the "beach" talking to the girls when my buddy who is in the water hollers for help. I grabbed the nearest air mattress and held it out to grab hold of. Unfortunately my friends girl was on the mattress and suffered a couple of bruises.. A few years later they married and from then on she will not allow him to see, talk or do anything with me. He's one badly PW-ed dude.
I fished the river a few times each summer but you'd more iikely find me up in Lake County rnnng a 16" utility towing pretty girls on skis. Those were the days.

His anger management therapist suggested a relaxing hobby like fishing? It would take a lot of fish to fill that belly. Prime candidate for the "fat shot."
