I admit I have teased my brothers because I got Dad's hair and they got theirs from Mom's side. (almost none)

Now I am wondering I have the curse and not them. About 2 years ago my hair started self parting to same side as my Dad's, after most of my life a being center part. I could live with that. Even started giving it a head start in that direction in the morning, but now it's doing what ever it wants, when it wants. The part walks all over the place as the day progresses, and it starts standing up like I have a serious static charge. I have no clue what I will see when I look in a mirror.

I've never been one to fuss over my hair, and am not about to start gluing it place. I have even considered cutting it all off because I don't want to mess with. I assume it's an age thing as it also thinner, diameter wise, not volume.

So Mr Einstein, I apologize.

I haven't had a part in my hair since the 80's. It goes where it grows.

I had lovely hair (wife's description). As long as I wanted styled anyway I wanted. Then one day I just got tired of spending time "fixing" my hair in the morning. I went to my barber (he'd been cutting my hair since high school) and told him to cut it short. At first he didn't get it until I explained I wanted it buzzed. I swear, he almost (maybe did) cry. He had tended that hair garden for decades. Of interesting note, he retired shortly thereafter. Perhaps I did break his heart and he just couldn't stand seeing my buzzed head.

I ran buzz cuts off and on through theyears mostly because my hair had a mind of its own. As a kid when the flattop was popular, none of the stuff sold to make it stand up straight would work, and I couldn't stand the stench of some of the greasy kid stuff.
When I started serious shedding off hair due to chemo, I said to hell with it and it's been buzz cuts ever since and probably will stay that way.

It doesn't matter how nice my hair looks before bed. It always looks like Einstein's when I wake up.

Easier than fixing it up again is to stay in my slippers and bathrobe. I think my neighbors have gotten used to it, at least they don't ask if I just woke up.

Going on 80 my hair color hasn’t really changed. And I still part it like I always have every morning. Only once a day usually. And the other day I had one of my grandkids take a picture of us and it was showing the back of my head, which I suddenly realized doesn’t have much hair left. 😳

Never "met" a woman that didn't have the same problem. Simple solutions though is to not open your eyes until after.

During my four years in college ROTC and then 24 years on active duty in the U.S. Army my red hair was kept to about a 1/4 inch buzz. For years after retiring from the Army I continued keeping it that short because I liked it that way, and it took zero work every morning. I didn't even own a brush or comb for all of those years.

As the red turned to gray, and then the gray turned to white, my hair thinned and now is sort of blotchy unless I brush it forward, and then to the side. I do this in about 5 seconds each morning after showering. If I wear a hat, or use my motorcycle helmet it looks wild after that, but I could not really care less. Lately I have been thinking about just shaving it off but although I look old, I don't really want to look like I am going through chemotherapy.

amazing the change over a few months... the really interesting part about these two pictures, one from high school and the other front the first week at The Citadel is look at the different expressions on my face.
