Toklat or another SBH?

I'm gonna buy another.44.
I feel pretty good shooting DA, and thought I would go with a Toklat.
My other choice would be a 4 5/8 SBH,
I have a SRH with a 9,5 barrel, and a SBH with a 10.5 barrel.
Thought I would get something short barreled as an "investment," but I know I am going to wind up shooting it.
Will I like a Toklat?
I only target shoot.

I had to check the Ruger site to confirm it was offered in 44. Yes, New!
I have always liked mine in 454/45 Colt. I like the appearance of this gun but there are those that don’t see the beauty. I am invested far more in 44 mag than 454/45. If you like the appearance, I can attest to its durability and accuracy. Mine is a range gun that comes along on visits to bear territory. I got mine used for a song. Reloading is what keeps me shooting this gun. Factory 45 Colt is mild. I am able to find lots of load data for hotter 45 Colt. I have 200 new pieces of brass in 454 that I plan to load on the lighter side. I am able to find published data that pushes a 250 grain Bullet to 1150 FPS.

Your avatar and forum name say SA "lima charlie"...sort of a projection of preference (big after grips on the SRH).....I'd go SBH or BH.......if it were me...maybe a shooter grade and cut the barrel if need be.

I don't typically care about looks....but the SRH's look goofy unless you have optics on top. They don't look as natural (?) as the regular RH.

SBH's and BH's look just fine w/out optics and, in my opinion are more accurate than the RH's/SRH's....at least mine are.

You’ll probably like the Toklat. It’s a beast compact, well balanced, and that short barrel makes it fun and quick for target shooting. Feels different from your longer SRH/SBH guns in a good way.

The 4⅝" SBH is also great more classic Ruger, but the Toklat has a bit more personality and character for a short barreled .44.

Since you’re going to shoot it anyway, go Toklat. You won’t regret it.

People love to bag on the SRH's appearance. The beauty is in what it does, not what it looks like. The RH 'may' look better (once you find out the Kardashians' personality the looks wane) but the SRH is the superior revolver. The action is the same two spring setup as the GP100, as is the grip stud. The optic mount is over the frame, which is a huge boon to balance with a red dot or scope mounted. The grip configuration is infinitely better, as the Redhawk is too small for magnas and too big for over sized target stocks like the Roper design. Not to mention that SRH's tend to be fantastic shooters. My .44 version is easily as accurate as my Freedom Arms 83.
