Went up to the big town today and grandson wanted to go to Bass Pro shop to look for another fishing rod. We got the rod and then started looking around and they have the gun counter but no library at this Bass Pro for the unusual, expensive and used firearms.
And in the used handguns they had two super wranglers. Both of them were in the case because they had been at another Cabela’s that had closed and sent their guns out to other Bass pros.
My grandson was looking at them with me and decided he really liked this one because of the wood grip. The other was a 2 tone silver/black.
It didn’t sink in until I got home and started looking at it and cleaning that I noticed it was one of the eighth edition collector series guns. It is pretty cool and the complete package in new condition. I’m not impressed with the really heavy and gritty trigger and the hammer spring is pretty stiff.
Next weekend, I’ll have to take it out with Magnum and long rifle ammo and see how it shoots.

I picked up a SW Friday and ordered a set of Santos Rosewood grips from Altamont. Looking forward to getting them and hoping they look as good as the set on their site. Picking up a 4-5/8 BH .41M in a half hour. Will have to order another set of grips now, once I see these and decide on another or walnut for the second set.

I just picked up a black Super Wrangler myself. Giving some thought to a bead blasted stainless grip frame and some faux ivory stocks for it. Maybe a set of stainless pins and base pin with a matching stainless latch.

The OP says the 2 Super Wranglers were in the used gun case. And the grandson wanted this one because of the wooden grips. I agree that the grips are very nice. The gun looks brand new though. If the gun was new, did those grips come from Ruger or are they aftermarket grips ? If so, who made them ?? My son-in-law just bought some aftermarket grips for his Wrangler and they have the Ruger logo etched right on the walnut grips. Just wondering what these grips shown are. My son-in-law's grips came from Goldston, NC. and they kind of look like these.

Star43,
This gun is one of the collector series they do. It’s number eight and it comes from the factory with those grips and that particular coloration package.
Hondo,
I said that I let him choose between the two, I didn’t say I was giving it to him.🤣
