Scratches on Blackhawk hammer

When it does go for a reblue, it will have the roll marks sanded off the barrel. I have a couple i did this to, I like the look. Need to re-blue them, will do that when I re-blue the driveway gun.

No. It is how I mostly shoot my SAs. I don't cock mine from the holster (with live ammo anyway). Usually always shoot two handed and use the apposing hand to cock the hammer with (in my case it is the right hand as I am a lefty) .
Back in the day I used to carry my .41 when I hunted in bear and boar country. I practiced drawing and shooting from the holster quite a bit. Finger off hammer till I was about 10 degrees from shooting position. I like my feet and legs too much to cock from the holster with live ammo........
Even when I am shooting benchrest or standing I cock with my right thumb. Just comes natural to me.

I do something similar to the Wells hammer. I surface grind a few thousandths off each side of the hammer down to the frame.
