I recently chronied some stingers out of my 6 7/8 " Mk ll and got slightly over 1,400 fps with them.

They only one I have to clock are the ones i've mentioned with the Aquila and the stingers being very close...and those two really go "bang" out of that pistol. I actually got 950 fps with the Aquila out of an old RG snubbie which surprised me as well considering it being such a short barrel.

It's a lot of fun to shoot the hyper velocitys. They fly at 1400 fps out of my 6 7/8 in barrel and you get some recoil "kick" as well.

Got my old Mk 2 out the other day and put some Aquila hyper vel in it and ran it through the chrony...I was surpprised to get a little over 1400 fps out of it. Somehow I wasn't expecting that much. I got 950 fps with the regular 36 gn Federal. Also got around 1400 fps with some CCI...

I've got a beautiful SP 101 2 1/4 barrel SS 357 that i've been thinking of selling. I bought this new in 1992 and have only put around 100 rounds through it...mostly 38. I've heard that this era 101 is supposed to be a little better than the ones being made now...I guess maybe because Bill...

Stupid me....somehow I read the original post as SR9 and didn't even notice the c...I knew my SR9 was black stainless but must confess that I dont know what the c is made of...I need to stat reading better..LOL

I don't think the black stainless would ever fade...or at least I don't think it would anyway...lol

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the black alloy you are refering to is actually is blackened stainless which in my opinion is better.

Fishslyer...that's good point about "rich urban biker" crap :D I really don't have Chromitis but some of my riding buddies have it BAD!! :lol:

This condition has a medical term...Hangunitis. We in the biker world have a similar condition known as Chromitis...there is at this time no known cure. I have had some success through counseling (wife) for the Chormitis affliction but I think the wife has some problems with Hangunitis...

What would you drill? Can you elaborate on this a little. I've been wanting to help my front sight out a bit...thanks

I've got the Hornady also and just got some Remington dry lube the other day but I don't think it works as well as the Hornady...could just be me though.

I was going to get the Ruger but ran up on the Kel Tec for $269 and haven't looked back. The Ruger is a fine 380 but the Kel Tec is as well. I carry mine in a pocket holster with 1,000 fps 90 grain hp's. When you fire it with that ammo it gets ones attention...it really goes BANG!! :)
