I've got HUNDREDS of each standard load and high velocity. Are the hot one's ok to use in my new Mk111? or will they prematurly wear the recoil spring? :?
High velocity ammo is fine, and the pistol may require some breaking in before it will cycle the standard velocity. I have many thousands of rounds through my MK pistols, mostly high velocity, and haven't had any spring issues.
Both are OK but it will like the lower velocity ammo for best accuracy (Mark II and IIIs). I shoot a box of HV on a new pistol then switch to standard. CCI standard groups well in most of mine.
The return spring is only an $10 part but HVs are just fine. The spring will fully compress whether you use HV or standard rounds and it won't know the difference.
