    Custom Grips

The dark set of grips was made from a crotch figured walnut. That was one of the best sets that I have ever made. Carl

    Super Blackhawk Hunter

The SBH Hunter uses the same grips as the square trigger guard grip frame. We like to refer to it as the Dragoon grip frame. The 4-5/8" and 5-1/2" SBH revolvers with the rounded trigger guard use a steel grip frame that is physically the same as the XR3-RED design for the Blackhawk and...

    Custom Grips

I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, most people aren't when looking for a new set of grips, but I can give you a few leads. I make "enhanced thickness" grips for the XR3-RED and "New-XR3" grip frames. By enhanced I mean that my grips are thicker at the top than stock, but stock...

From the Wood Pile to the Revolver

It's been a long while since I have been active in the Ruger community. I found myself falling victim to my tendency to not say no and life got way too busy. I became involved in so many things that I allowed my "home-work" business to suffer due to not getting the attention needed to thrive...

Holly grips on the new 32 Maggie

My favorite part of Holly is its tendency to age over time. Give those grips 6 months or so can revisit the pictures you posted. You should start to see a subtle aging of the color.

People Once Took Pride In Their Work

Those sidewalk stampings were required in West Allis, WI; my previous city of residence. I had a 1958 and 2013 right next to each other.

    Refinishing Rose wood grips

My experience has been the same as Pete's. Give the grips a coat of Shellac, let dry and then card with steel wool. Repeat one time. Tru-Oil will cure on top of the Shellac.

XR3-RED Grips being Auctioned off for Charity

Hello everyone. It seems like it has been forever since I last lurked around the Ruger Forum. I'm still around, but found myself to be very, very busy. But that's really all besides the point of this posting. I have been pretty fortunate in life, I have a loving wife and two great young...

    Grips and Grip frame question

Just need a little adjusting. The way that I do it is to drill the hole out with a 1/4" forestner bit, fill the hole about 2/3 the way with kneaded 2-part epoxy putty, place a drop of light oil on the grip pin, and press the grips over the pin. Let cure, file excess flat, and clean up the hole...

Grip KARMA! Giving away 4 sets of grips to celebrate #1,000

Hello all! I haven't been on the forums in a while now, the kids are getting older, business is picking up, and I just done ran out of time to come here and hang out with y'all. For that, I apologize. In keeping with my tradition of giving away a set of grips for every 100 that I make, I...

    Linen or canvas Micarta grips

It doesn't look like Cary will be accepting orders for the time being. I've been swamped with orders lately and just don't have time to make Bisley grips in addition to the other plow handle grips. What about Axehandle (sp?) or one of the other grip makers on the forum?
