If you read the FAQ section on the Ruger website they do address the rattle and do say that it's normal.
I'm not worried about it but none of my other Rugers with transfer bars rattle at all. Weird.
The SP101 sight diesn't come with the external circle. I wonder how much of the problem comes from that.
In your second picture, the sight looks tilted forward. Did you do that on purpose or is it just the photo? What is that sight made for? Does it snag at all?
I just received my SP101 sight back from Trijicon saying it's ok. I had returned it because there is absolutely no, as in zero, glow in the dark. Nothing.
It is still absolutely black in the dark.

Just got a 3" .357 SP101 from Buds. The grip screw was drilled at a very slight angle causing the knurled end to be cocked. Not a big deal but enough to bother me.
Email to Ruger answered the next day saying they'd send another grip. Arrived two days later.
No questions asked. Didn't even ask...
How long ago was that? I'll just keep an eye on the Numrich stock if that's the case. I thought Ruger wouldn't sell them at all. Do you recall the price? By fitting do you mean shims?
