Just got my most recent issue of RENE and reviewed the section on manuals and those that collectors are interested in.

Do have a couple I'd like to post and have some other odd balls and wanted to gauge interest in them and what they may be worth. These may prove to be every day and mundane but figured might as well ask!

Have a AC-556 and AC556K select fire manual (TM MA1-1), and a MP9 machine gun manual (two of those).

Also want to post pictures of these, looked in the FAQ's and did a search and only came up with some pretty dated material, that I didn't follow too well.

Any help and advise in both areas would be appreciated.

Have some old (for me) collectible materials eventually want to post as well.

Thanks in advance!

OK nix the pics, the blind squirrel figured it out! You guys made it way easy!

I've thought for years that it would be nice to have one-each of each Mini-14 and Mini-30 manuals that's been made over the years. If nothing else just to get the various schematics and parts number list...but I'm talking for repair and maintenance purposes, not for collecting.

Heck,, I'd like to have one of the MP9 manuals just for the fun of it!
the problem in my experience is if you bought the manual then you would then need to go buy the gun...
Way back in the early 80's Bob Dylan came out with another album and my wife and I went to buy it and it was only on these things called CD's and so to not waste our time we bought it.. then on the way home realized we needed to stop by a local electronics store and buy one of these new fangled CD players....

Hello, any luck with Ruger MP9 instruction manual, duplicate or not????
I not even sure how many versions of that manual exist?
So many decades and no information on that smg available, while USA never adopt close bolt Uziel Gal design Poland at other hand did PM84P Glauberyt and later upgraded PM98 variant. What known about Ruger MP9 is welded in place ejector that doesn't come out unlike original open bolt UZI design and a ball loaded cocking handle that hold open on last round inside magazine instead firing and extracting it.....
Magazine identical from Steyr MPI69....

Over all expectation Ruger MP9 is like hybrid between UZI and Mac 11 lower, stock could be designed even more nicer.
Another very rare smg manual would be Italian Socimi 821 or Franchi LF821,finding manual on that model is like finding needle in pack of feather, not even sure if it exist....I think Socimi/Franchi 821 model far more rarer than Ruger MP9,sometimes model 821 called Italian UZI.

Oh such a slippery slope! I learned my lesson when I sold my 1973 Banana Yellow Charger 440 Six Pack to another young sailor because the insurance company was going to charge me $2300 a year to insure it. I had no idea that it was a One of One production vehicle at that time. Chasing Unicorns is a very expense hobby. JMHO YMMV. This is not a working mans hobby. Once again, JMHO YMMV. BEWARE, the cost is always higher than thrill. JMHO YMMV. Best of luck.

It been a while and nobody can upload instruction manual on Ruger MP9....

I have a copy I’d be willing to sell. I’m away on business for a couple of weeks, and back home the week of 4/27. Get back in touch then and we can work something out. Was thinkinking $35.00 plus $8.00 postage.

Hope that works for you.
Oh and it is not a copy, it is an original manual from an MP9 firearms package.

Excellent deal,
I not sure how many Ruger MP9 manuals even exist?
I seen another post before and see a cover of some kind of Ruger MP9 armorer course manual, was an armorer manual since after late 90's entire Ruger MP9 production was ended and replacement parts been all scrapped by Bill Ruger himself....
Bill Ruger was so infuriated when Ruger MP9 was lost competition for army and law enforcement rival models like H&K MP5 and Steyr TMP which also adopt term MP9....

Besides Ruger MP9 instruction manual I also look for Hotchkiss Universal submachine gun manual while it well known for M54,model 010 and HMC although there is 3 different models of them.Original would be model 010 and I dig all over internet and can't find any instruction manual on that gun,at least how trigger mechanism looks apart and how it function exactly....From glance, many might think Hotchkiss Universal is open bolt operation and looks like MP40 iconic looks but it closed bolt function and sometimes known as Transformer gun,it can compact and barrel gould be pressed in to minimize length of gun during transporting,it's main role was designed for paratroopers making gun compact and easy to handle.Latest gun design of French army would be Mat49 but it nothing close to be called Transformer gun although magazine housing folds in and out.

I was searching and tried to find Croatian made firearms like Agram 2000 submachine gun manual,Gepard M2,M3 and Lynx GM6 manuals but no available anywhere....I tried type Croatian language it also give me no information....
Some firearms manuals are so hard to obtain,Ruger MP9 one of them,Hotchkiss Universal are another forgotten artifact,as for shotgun series most unique and unusual from my taste is Jackhammer MK3A1 developed by Pancor,a prototype that never went into serial production but was consider as Assault Combat Shotgun or ACS for short....The idea was creating new select fire shotgun for law enforcement agency to replace older models like Remington or Mosberg, however idea was never work,Jackhammer had complicated cylinder extraction method to reload and based on Webley Fosbery operation with gas stroke mechanism to actuate cylinder rotation, half revolver and shotgun combined but capable operate at automatic firing....From my own study it should inquire pivoting hinge pin with lever that retains cylinder and allow quick removal rather than taking rear stock apart to gain access for that pin.In this point cocking handle should move forward not back like conventional firearms, this would disengage carrier from cylinder groove so it can separate from receiver.
Very unique automatic shotgun design, too sad it wasn't went far rather than been a prop gun in movies as 1st model,2nd end up else where but only 2 or 3 of them where made,2nd MK3A1 so called improved variant never even been introduced after designer decided to scrap whole project just like Bill Ruger scrapped his MP9 design sadly,if Ruger MP9 get fixed 3 issues it would most likely adopted,as it was feature simple design.
There is 3 known issues that cost failure with Ruger MP9:
First issue was most obvious welded ejector at upper receiver housing which already a no go design,in numerous firearms ejector pivoted by retaining pin, like Walther G43 Gewehr,in Steyr Hahn pistol ejector retains by trigger bar, ejector serves as disconnector at same time and spring loaded, there many examples that ejector is pin retained for easy and quick access and replacement if necessary.
The 2nd issue was most iconic, ball and spring loaded cocking handle which supposed to work and hold bolt back when every round fired from magazine but it works at entirely opposite scenario, bolt stop works when last round remains in magazine.
Third issue was complains about stock design, which at some critics was far worst than original UZI design....
The Ruger MP9 have nothing to do with entire submachine gun design,it was originally Uziel Gal engineering like UZI,open bolt design lead to close bolt design and originally was known as model 201,however he gave entire development to Bill Ruger so he could finish additional safety installation for firing pin, like many of his designs. This would explain why Ruger MP9 have 2 bolt components unlike original UZI design, this was done to allow installing firing pin safety, there is an lever inside trigger mechanism housing when bolt closes breech firing pin safety and release lever aligned and allow to be released. There is 2 sears like many submachine guns out there but position of them opposite, auto sear located at left side and locked with trigger bar, semi auto sear at right side and locked with disconnector identical like in Ruger MK1 or MK2 pistols, not sure why disconnector even been added for while other closed bolt submachine guns absent of that component...
