While no fan of the the muzzle flash either, I do like the load. I think it's shape would offer better penetration than the Uppercut as well. BTW: I'm from NJ as well. We can buy / carry hollow points as long as it's for sporting / hunting ( and a rifle of course). Proving intent can be tough though.Plinkster had a real short video from the recent NRA Convention that introduced the new Uppercut bullets. They appeared to have really nice expansion. Probably be a good choice, where they are allowed.
The Peoples Republic of New Jersey does not allow "explosive" (hollow point) bullets.
Thsnks good to know I think I will stick to 36 cci mini mags I don't have any failures with them both in my p22 and lcp2My LCP2 .22 likes Punch just fine, no failures to feed or eject. I had 1 magazine of Uppercut work ok, but after that they failed to eject at least 50% of the time and jammed up the slide. Not stovepipes, but jammed empties in line with bore. I haven't scoped this out, but I think the case on the uppercut may be a bit longer that the punch. That may not be true, but I need to measure them. The Uppercut is certainly a "hot" load, and it is odd to me that the Punch rounds have worked great while the Uppercut rounds really were problematic.
Plan to try the Uppercut in a Walther p22 next. I bought them direct from CCI's website.
