Does anyone have any info when the RCA auctioned the 2 Texas Old Armies?

Looking to find out if they came in boxes other than the shippers or maybe even cases. Verbiage on the actual auction itself would be nice to see. It must be in the RCA Journals but I don't know what time frame for sure and don't have many of the journals. These were auctioned in late April- Mid May 1986 based on the correspondence dad had with Ruger and the RCA

Yeah, probably so. If I remember correctly the pair was up for bid on the RCA auction held about that time, along with #14 Single-Six with ivory, the Amber Engraved Single-Six, a 13xxx range .44 flattop with super late ship date and a bunch of other delicasies.
I have an original printing of the RCA auction listing somewhere, but not sure where it is at the moment.
