anyone own a GP100 Match champion

Nice revolver. Went to the Ruger website to check the specs. Noticed right away that this beauty is not legal in MA nor CA. What? A six shooter is not legal in MA or CA?

    Refurb Project?

Is there a way to get the pitting out of the medal?

    SR 1911 rust production dates?

Took mine to range after many months. Ammo is just now showing up on some shelves in Florida. When cleaning it today I noticed a discoloration on the very back of the trigger. Could be rust, don't know, but it wiped off with some solvent. My son, a former stainless steel welder, says that...

    New 1911

There's an SR1911 sitting in my LGS for $850. Ouch...$200 more than what I paid for mine late last year. I guess that's a good thing. Nothing else in my house holds its' value like that.

    Barrel a Reject?

Revhigh. Gracie looks just like my Yoter. A lab-border collie mix (we think). A sweet rescue dog. He's given us 5 years of love and dedication. PS: Yoter is redneck for Toyota. My son named him after his truck.

    New 1911

Mine is suffering from starvation. Haven't been able to buy practice ammo anywhere around Central Florida. My shot guns are getting fed pretty well though.

    New SR1911 flaw/burr inside slide

Mine has a mark like that also. I thought it was a slip up by the machinist, but maybe the stamp means something. Interesting export markings.

A warning for all Ruger 1911CMD owners

Wish I could get my wife to the range.

    WITHDRAW

I just picked up the mag and read the article. Not sure what they were getting at. Ruger makes a fine pistol, no matter what the design? That's what I got from it, but I already knew that.

Show us your carved leather rigs!!

Thanks, I figured as such. I meant to say "the middle of February". I was excited about the picture she showed me on Christmas morning. Really looks like a nice rig.

    It was a "Commanding" weekend.

Great story, thanks. The 38 super has a great history also which you already know all about I'm sure. During the roaring 20s, the cops could not penetrate automobile doors with the 45 ACP (I love those movies). Hench the invention of the 38 Super for the 1911.

Show us your carved leather rigs!!

The wife placed an order for a holster from El Paso Saddlery back in December. It was meant to be a Christmas present, but here it is the middle of February, and I have yet to see it. She actually bought a pair of them for my son's and mine SR1911s. She has called a couple of times, but no...

    SR9 slide lock/release

I've never heard that pushing the slide stop would damage the firearm, and per my owner's manuals (other than the Ruger one) they say to chamber the first round that way. I think it's a tactical shooting training idea.

    SR9 slide lock/release

The CM9 sometimes gives me trouble when trying to slingshot. The round sticks on the feed ramp, or mag, I can't tell. This is with Walmart Federal though. I'm sure my carry ammo, Hornady Critical Defense, would work ok. For me and my weak hands (getting old is a .......never mind) the slide stop...
