    Outlaw the 327 Maggie

I'd like to come if there's an event sometime. I'm not much of a talker compared to some of you, but I'd head down and visit you southerners. ;)

Fixed sight guns and point of impact?

My SP101 is spot on horizontally but shoots low with most loads. I just run 180gr .357s and they hit POA/POI.

    Alaskan grip change question

You could also check the local hardware store. When I needed a locator pin for my SP101 I went to the hardware store and found some sort of internally threaded sleeve that was the same diameter and length and it works great. Cost like 35 cents and the store is 3 miles from my house. :D

How do you grip your LCP?

I dunno if that would be a thumbs high grip or not. That's just what I find comfortable. Maybe it comes from shooting double action revolvers where there isn't anywhere too convenient to put your thumbs? Videos I have seen from real shooting instructors etc. teach that thumbs should be parallel...

How do you grip your LCP?

I grip my LCP pretty much the same as I would any other handgun. A couple of exceptions being that I (some would say incorrectly) wrap my trigger finger through so I'm pulling with the middle segment of my finger and I take a ring finger under grip much like people go pinky under with SAs. I...

    SP101 loads for POA/POI

It will depend on the gun and your grip. Generally people seem think Ruger has things set up for a 158gr load in .357, but with my SP101 and my hands POI intersects with POA with 180gr heavy loads. Generally the faster the bullet or the smaller the recoil the lower the bullet will shoot. With a...

What do you think of the hammer?

I like that style of hammer spur on autos like the 1911 etc. but not so much on a single action.

    Mystery bird

My vote is for some sort of albino Towhee.

    SP-101, .357, Grips!

It all depends on your hands. Personally I find the Hogues less comfortable than the stock or the Trausch grips. Just try the different options, there aren't very many and you can pick them up one at a time for $15 and turn them around to get money for the next until you find the perfect fit.

    Sp101 in .327 mag question

On one hand, it's not always inevitable. My SP101 shoots exactly on horizontally with all loads I've tried and exactly on vertically with 180gr loads. I don't have to adjust how I aim at all. I align my sights the exact same way I do with any other gun. :D On the other hand, if my gun had been...

    sp101 after the purchase

Here's what the Bianchi actually looks like with an SP101. It is a bit lighter than in my picture though, the white balance is off.

    SA revolver speedloader?

If you wanted to spend enough money you could get magazines for magnum calibers too. Buy a Coonan mag for .357/.38s and an Automag or Desert Eagle mag for .44s.

    DIY GP100 Grip Panel Locator?

I'm not sure if it is the same size but I've found parts at the hardware store to use as replacement locators for the SP101. It's just a simple tube that is female threaded on both ends. Take a locator in with you and start comparing to junk in the hardware store until you find something...

    $750 to spend on SP101

Yeah, I'd say that if you want the lasergrips get those. Past that good holsters and some ammo are required and maybe some custom adjustable sights if you're into that. For spending more, my long term plan includes a black powder chamfer and some nice engraving. But I don't think you'll fit that...

    Ported SP101 Barrel?

I remember reading a good comparison of ported vs. non-ported sp101 barrels a while ago. If I recall correctly it was ~100 or 150fps difference. I'll go try to find it for you. EDIT: Here it is! http://www.rohrbaughforum.com/port.pdf
