You can't fix that level of stupid. Obviously, the pipe was there to protect the RxR underpass.

GPS is to blame for a lot of these crashes. People blindly follow it and end up with problems.
I did not know they put that barrier in front of the bridge. About time.

I amend my original post to they follow the GPS without using any common sense. It's a good guide sometimes but you also have to pay attention to the other factors in driving

There's one in Durham, NC that they call the "can opener" bridge. They've had videos on YouTube for years. The city actually re-did the bridge and lowered the road a little to give drivers some additional room, but people still hit it occasionally. Can Opener Bridge. What's really funny about the OP's video is the idiot hits it, backs up a little, and hits it again. As if he thought he'd fit the second time?

Morons like that can kill you. In the 80's I was in back of a flatbed truck hauling a backhoe with... You guessed it the arm and bucket raised and we were heading to an underpass for the turnpike. I KNEW the bucket was going to hit it at +/- the posted speed of 45 and I backed waaayyy down. That concrete bridge peeled the backhoe off the truck and it was dumped on the road right where I could have been moments later.
