XRN-3RED grip frame

I would like to find a XRN-3RED blued steel grip frame. Is it possible to buy after market or is my only option to buy used. Is the XR3 RED frame the same? I am a bit confused by the "N"...

Sorry guys, I did a quick search but didn't find what I was looking for so I figured I would ask. If there is a post that has this information please help me out with a link to it.

Several of the "big" parts suppliers get them in once in a while. I dunno about you eh-landers..... :D

You need a grip frame from a blued 4-5/8" or 5-1/2" barreled Super Blackhawk. Try giving the fine folks over at Ruger a call to see if they'll sell you one; it won't hurt to ask. Otherwise you'll have to resort to finding a used one, and I don't think that'll be an easy chore. Try putting a WTB listing over in the classifieds to see if anyone responds.

It looks like you'll need P/N XR00301 according to this:

It is for an old single six(early 70's). It is in great shape but I always thought it would look better with a blued grip frame. I had recently ordered some elk grips for it from Patrick at Grasshorn and figured it was time to find a blued grip frame for it if I could before they showed up.

Thanks to a very helpful member here I found one in a very short amount of time. I had almost forgot how helpful all the members at the Ruger forum could be. I found found some great deals on parts etc. here as well as some great information lately that helped me figure out a few issues I was having.

The only thing you need now is a steel ejector hsg for that nice hawg leg. And they come ready to install already blued and no fitting needed From Ruger or brownell's; about $35.
