NMBH Grip frame: what do I have?

I'm trying to get better stocks for my New Model Blackhawk 45 ACP/Colt shipped in 2014 and haven't seen anything helpful in the forums.

I see references to XRN and XRN-3RED and "round trigger guards" and "Super Blackhawks" but nothing that looks like mine. Pics are attached. The only distinguishing mark on the grip frame is '11.' What do I have? Any suggestions for stocks?

If I can't find suitable grips, what grip frames will fit?

I had seen that link and, as far as I can tell from the descriptions (anodized aluminum) and by comparing my frame to those pictured, I have an XRN-3RED frame but it doesn't say so; it says "11." Hmm...

I agree. Sometimes referred to generically as the XR3-RED 'size' (the Old Model Ruger number for your most common size grip frame.
They don't always have the identification # cast into the grip frame. The 11 might be the last two digits of the gun's serial number, or a random marking that's no help in identifying the grip frame.

It's alum alloy but no longer anodized. For the last couple of decades they are powder coated.

Welcome to the Forum, some are marked with an "N" in the group stamping on the frames (XRN), easy enough to try a pair of grips off one of your "other"??? guns, but look like XRNs' to me..still have the angled "boss" top front of the curve of the back strap, so you NEED grip panels that have a "notch" cutout at the top, front to work right,,,,many New grips do NOT have that 'notch' and the locating pin hole is ever so slightly moved ( angled) from the older XR3- reds,,,see that more so with the Newer XR3 straight down the back strap , no flair,,yes Ruger has certainly made their grip sizing ,contours ,etc very difficult these days,,,,took a GOOD thing and "FUBAR".......:cool::rolleyes:;)

was bad enough years ago back in the mid 80s and they came out with the stainless Vaqueros, and their own grips did NOT fit properly..........bad grip frame castings?:unsure:(n)

I have a NM .45 that I sent the grip frame to Chig's grips to have a set made. He is on the net. A great guy, does excellent work.
