All of us are aware of Lindberg's historic flight to Paris. Some of the flying that he and his Wife Anne did later was just as spectacular IMHO. He was flying the future routes that would be used by PAA for owner Juan Trippe and also for TWA. Anne wrote about the trip in "North to the Orient"
If you ever get a chance to read it do so. I highly recommend it. Their navigation skills were just outstanding when you consider the time and location.
The plane they used a Lockheed Sirius is in the Smithsonian for a reason
In 1931 Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh set off on a flight to the Orient by the Great Circle Route. The classic North to the Orient is the beautifully written account of the trip.
