I am looking for a 1959 "as new" (or close) condition Ruger Single Six 4-5/8" with the original box. If a 5-1/2" becomes available I would be interested. Will also consider 1958 or 1957 with the round loading gate.

Good luck with you quest. I have a flatgate and and the round gate years you are looking for but with the original box would be exceptional. They are out there but if the guy knows what he has you are going to spend a lot. JMO.

Free bump to the top.

Thanks for the comment Karl. Perhaps I have set my sights higher than my budget. So I should amend my desire to be more in line with reality. After all it is the gun I am really after. So the box would not be a deal breaker.

They're on here all the time, Bob. (This is Byrne...you were just at my house Saturday looking at the flat-gates with the stag grips...) "Acorn" just sold the exact one yesterday here on the Forum: 1959, correct box and manual, etc. for $550. It WON'T ever have a magnum cylinder, like 737tdi suggested in your post.

Just keep looking here. Lots of good people and good deals if you keep an eye out.

I agree, Just keep looking, the search is part of the fun of collecting.

OMG. At one time I could not get rid of the 59's...In the morning when I'm not hauling kids to the airport, I'll look and see if I still have a short 59. RB
